Mikayla Jenkins, MFT Trainee
Mikayla is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee (under non-profit Attune Center for Healing) currently completing her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at Simpson University. She brings warmth, curiosity, and a deep respect for each client’s unique story. Her therapeutic approach is client-centered and solution-focused, with a growing emphasis on somatic practices that invite mind–body connection and holistic healing.
Her background in the Army National Guard has shaped her ability to show up with empathy, presence, and steadiness in high-stress situations. These experiences inform the supportive, grounded environment she strives to create in the therapy room, where clients of all backgrounds can feel seen and empowered in their healing journey.

Outside of work, Mikayla enjoys reading, dancing, yoga, and crafts. She also spends plenty of time studying and growing in her field, which she values as part of her personal and professional journey.

Why I Chose This Career:
Mikayla chose this career because she has always had a strong desire to help others navigate challenges and discover their strengths. Becoming a therapist allows her to combine compassion with practical tools, offering support as clients move toward healing and self-discovery.
