Shannon Simpson, AMFT

Shannon Simpson is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor #15017 who obtained her Master’s Degree in Mindfulness based Transpersonal Counseling. She utilizes an Integrative/Transpersonal approach during therapy that allows her to creatively and collaboratively meet her client’s needs. Shannon specializes in trauma informed care, mindfulness, somatic(body) awareness, strength-based and experiential modalities. The populations she enjoys working with are individuals, teens, young adults and women who want to explore themes of anxiety, depression, grief & loss, life’s transitions, past traumas, identity, low self-esteem or spirituality. With compassion, authenticity, and humility, Shannon provide’s a non-judgmental space for client’s to freely express themselves and offers herself as a guide to create deeper connection to oneself and new ways of being in life. She is available for in-person or Telehealth sessions.

I specialize in Mindfulness while incorporating somatics, CBT, strengths-based and compassion approaches. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-1).

When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my family, being in nature and moving my body!

Why I Chose This Career:

My passion lies in facilitating a non-judgmental and safe place for folks to explore their struggles and find new ways of being. I chose this career to help others live more authentically while building a healthier, happier community.
