Specialities and Certifications:
I specialize in trauma, with certifications in EMDR and Brainspotting Level 1-2. These modalities help me support clients in navigating and healing from trauma in a profound and lasting way. I am currently working through Gottman Level 1-2 training for couples and family therapy
Favorite things to do when not working:
Outside of work, I love spending time with my three busy children. With my teenagers there is always a sporting event or rodeo to attend. But other than that I pretty much love anything outdoors frome hiking, kayaking, or beach trips.
Favorite quote(s):
"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.'" - Eleanor Roosevelt
"You can choose courage, or you can choose comfort, but you cannot have both." - Brené Brown
Population I work with:
I work with a wide range of ages, but I particularly enjoy working with children, teens, and women of all ages.
Why did you choose this career:
After 14 years of working as a Substance Use Disorder counselor and domestic violence advocate, I wanted to do more. I have a deep passion for working with children, teens, and women, and I strive to be a proactive partner in creating solutions. I have been on the side of trauma and know the empowering feeling of freedom from it. I believe in the power of change and wanted to extend my reach in helping people overcome challenges and heal on a deeper level.
