Christina Ann Bennett-Horne, LMFT
Christina Bennett-Horne is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Christina received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Psychology from Park University and Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology through National University.
As a United States Army Veteran, she knows the struggle and challenges that life can bring. She has lived her life in service to others and has worked with a broad array of populations and cultures, initially for the military, then for Shasta County Health and Human Services.
Christina aims to provide a safe and comfortable environment in which to foster self-exploration and discovery. She seeks to build connections with clients that can promote understanding, growth, and changes based in reality, providing positive alternatives.
Christina approaches each client session using a mindful and integrative approach; identifying negative patterns of coping, to provide skills to manage distress and process life struggles dialectically. She has additional training working with individuals with personality disorders and complex trauma. Christina has been formally trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatic Experiencing, and Sandplay.
