Couples Counseling

Couples sessions run the same length and follow the same process whether in-person at our Redding office or via telehealth.

Every relationship experiences challenges, and sometimes finding your way forward takes support. Whether you're navigating communication difficulties, rebuilding trust, working through conflict, or feeling disconnected from your partner, couples counseling provides a supportive space to better understand one another and strengthen your relationship.

At Northern California Family Counseling & Wellness Center, we help couples identify patterns, explore underlying emotions and needs, and develop healthier ways of communicating and connecting. Our approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your relationship, helping you build greater understanding, emotional connection, and a stronger foundation for the future.

Modalities we offer via telehealth

EMDR — Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, adapted for a virtual format.
Brainspotting — effective over video and often preferred by clients who want to work from a familiar space.
Somatic and polyvagal-informed work — body-based approaches to regulation.
Individual, couples, and family therapy — including sessions where participants join from separate locations.

Neurofeedback requires in-person equipment and is available only at our Redding office.

Where we're licensed

Our clinicians hold licenses or associate licenses in California, Nevada, and Arizona. Because licensure is state-specific, we'll match you with a therapist licensed in the state where you'll be physically located during sessions. If you're unsure, ask us — it's the first thing we check.
