Family Counseling

Every family has its own dynamics, strengths, and challenges. Whether you're navigating communication difficulties, parenting concerns, major life transitions, or ongoing conflict, family counseling offers a supportive space for everyone to feel heard, understood, and valued.

At Northern California Family Counseling & Wellness Center, we work collaboratively with families to better understand relationship patterns, strengthen communication, and build healthier connections. Our approach recognizes that each family member brings a unique perspective, and meaningful change happens when families learn to navigate challenges together with greater empathy, understanding, and connection.

Modalities we offer via telehealth

EMDR — Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, adapted for a virtual format.
Brainspotting — effective over video and often preferred by clients who want to work from a familiar space.
Somatic and polyvagal-informed work — body-based approaches to regulation.
Individual, couples, and family therapy — including sessions where participants join from separate locations.

Neurofeedback requires in-person equipment and is available only at our Redding office.

Where we're licensed

Our clinicians hold licenses or associate licenses in California, Nevada, and Arizona. Because licensure is state-specific, we'll match you with a therapist licensed in the state where you'll be physically located during sessions. If you're unsure, ask us — it's the first thing we check.
