EMDR

Difficult experiences can leave lasting emotional imprints, sometimes affecting how we think, feel, and respond long after an event has passed. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapeutic approach that helps individuals process distressing memories and reduce the emotional impact they may continue to have on everyday life.

At Northern California Family Counseling & Wellness Center, EMDR therapy offers a structured, supportive approach to healing from trauma and other difficult life experiences. Using guided bilateral stimulation, such as side-to-side eye movements, our trained clinicians help clients reprocess distressing memories and develop healthier, more adaptive beliefs about themselves and their experiences. Treatment is tailored to your individual needs, with an emphasis on emotional safety, personal readiness, and moving forward with greater confidence and resilience.

Where we're licensed

Our clinicians hold licenses or associate licenses in California, Nevada, and Arizona. Because licensure is state-specific, we'll match you with a therapist licensed in the state where you'll be physically located during sessions. If you're unsure, ask us — it's the first thing we check.
