Neurofeedback

Our brains play an important role in how we experience emotions, manage stress, focus, and sleep. When these processes feel out of balance, everyday life can become more challenging. Neurofeedback is a noninvasive, brain-based approach that uses real-time feedback about brain activity to help the brain practice more flexible patterns of functioning and self-regulation.

At Northern California Family Counseling & Wellness Center, we offer neurofeedback as part of a personalized approach to mental health and wellness. Through gentle, technology-assisted sessions, neurofeedback provides the brain with information about its own activity, supporting the learning processes involved in attention, relaxation, and emotional regulation. Our trained clinicians tailor care to your individual needs and goals, often integrating neurofeedback with traditional therapeutic approaches to support overall well-being.

Other modalities we offer via telehealth

Brainspotting — effective over video and often preferred by clients who want to work from a familiar space.
Somatic and polyvagal-informed work — body-based approaches to regulation.
Individual, couples, and family therapy — including sessions where participants join from separate locations.

Neurofeedback requires in-person equipment and is available only at our Redding office.

Where we're licensed

Our clinicians hold licenses or associate licenses in California, Nevada, and Arizona. Because licensure is state-specific, we'll match you with a therapist licensed in the state where you'll be physically located during sessions. If you're unsure, ask us — it's the first thing we check.
