James Evangelista AMFT

James Evangelista is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT 139378) working under the supervision of Christina Whitney (111050) and Marina Domer. James received his Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at National University. He employs empathetic techniques in order to relate to clients he works with. James primarily gravitates towards using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to help people work and cope with theirdaily challenges, but is also open to trying other forms of therapies in order to adjust to the client’s needs. During James’ graduate school career, he was thoroughly mentored by his supervisors to use Psychotherapy and Play therapy with middle schoolers within his practicum site. James is available to work with clients in a hybrid setting via Tele-health or in person.
